With rapid weight loss, pregnancy and aging after sleeve gastrectomy surgery, relaxation occurs in the skin of the thigh region.
With rapid weight loss in your leg area, the skin becomes loose and tightening does not occur at the same speed. With the slack skin and fat accumulation on the inner leg, it can cause discomfort both aesthetically and due to the rubbing of the legs during walking.
The name of the operation performed to recover the excess sagging skin is called leg lift (thigh lift) aesthetics.
In leg stretching surgery, first of all, skin abundance and excess fat tissue are evaluated by examination.
I definitely recommend starting the surgery with liposuction, which allows a greater amount of stretching to be done as the skin is emptied.
Afterwards, the excess skin in the area is stretched upwards towards the groin in order to provide leg tightening.
In this procedure, the scar is not visible as it sits on the groin area. It would not be right to apply this technique in patients with too much sagging skin. It may pull the genital area outward, causing it to appear wider.
In those with a lot of excess skin, the procedure is performed with an incision made along the long axis of the leg on the inner side of the leg. We definitely start this technique with liposuction and remove the excess fat tissues.
Then we remove the excess skin. Here, the trace remains on the face of the leg, and when viewed from the front and back, this trace is not visible.
There are two types of leg lift procedures, medial and standard:
Medial A thigh lift is a surgical procedure to reduce excess skin and fat on the upper part of the inner thigh, giving a firmer appearance.
It is performed by removing skin and fat in a crescent shape from the upper part of the inner thigh, creating a horizontal scar.
Standard thigh lift involves removing excess loose skin and fat to tighten to reshape the upper leg; It is generally suitable for those who have excessive sagging as a result of weight loss. The scar in this procedure is oriented both vertically and horizontally.
Non-Surgical Inner Leg Lift Non-surgical inner leg stretching is a feasible method in patients who do not have sagging skin. It provides some tightening with the energy given under the skin using radio frequency energy. It works by heating the skin and subcutaneous tissues of the applied electromagnetic radio waves. The aim is to activate the regeneration processes by creating heat within the tissue without causing any damage to the skin. Thanks to the excess heat, our body perceives this applied energy as damage and activates the repair activation processes. However, it should be noted that non-surgical leg stretching is a temporary treatment that is used in very limited patients and whose effect lasts between 1-2 years.

Healing Process After Leg Lift Surgery
In the first weeks after the surgery, there are some swellings in the leg area and the patients cannot fully understand their real bodies at first.
But when these swellings begin to decrease, patients will also be more satisfied with the result by seeing the result. Since the inner leg area is a very active area, it is open to healing problems.
In all cases, patients should rest as much as possible and avoid leg movement. It is important to use a regular corset for 3 weeks after leg lift aesthetics.
Since liposuction is performed, regular use of corsets is important in both the sitting of the skin and the reduction of edema and swelling. You can return to your social life from the 1st week. I do not recommend doing sports during the 6th week.
